The fourth son of Hon. Amable M. Aguiluz, former Treasurer of the Philippines and Auditor General, and Ester Aguiluz, he is the father of computer education in the Philippines. King, as he is called by family and friends, is also the founder and Chairman of the AMA Education System, Asia's first and largest computer based education system in the Philippines, with 200 campuses and branches in Hong Kong, China, Middle East, and Southeast Asia, with over 150,000 students. Today, the AMA Group employs over 5,000 people. King is Chairman of the AMA Bank, the largest lender in the used car market in the Philippines. He was also named No. 21 most powerful man in the Philippines by Biz News Asia, the leading Asian News Weekly Magazine in its January 2007 cover issue. After finishing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Quezon City in 1968, he completed his Masters in Business Administration in 1983 at the University of the East and later earned his Doctorate Degree from Columbia College in Missouri. He is also the only Filipino who finished the 3 year management course at Harvard Business School for owners and presidents of big businesses.
